Method 7603

Silica, Crystalline in Coal Mine Dust by IR

This method is designed to determine quartz in respirable coal mine dust samples. Samples are collected using a cyclone and preweighed filter and analyzed using infrared spectrophotometry. The working range is 0.03 to 2 mg/m³ for a 1000-L sample.
