This method is for the collection and analysis of stibine from wokplace air. The sample is collected on a mercuric clhoride coated silica gel tube. After collection, the sample is extraction with concentrated HCl and analyzed by visible spectrophotometry. Stibine is analyzed as antimony (Sb).
The working range of the method is 0.1 to 3.5 mg/m3 (0.02 to 0.7 ppm) for a 20L sample.
NOTE: This method revised Method S243.

* The analytes and detection limits listed for each method represent the typical detection limits and analytes reported for that particular method. Keep in mind that analyte lists may vary from laboratory to laboratory. Detection limits may also vary from lab to lab and are dependent upon the sample size, matrix, and any interferences that may be present in the sample.
