Method 6006

Diborane by ICP

This method is for the determination of diborane by plasma emission spectrometry. The sample is collected on PTFE filters followed by impregnated charcoal sorbent tubes, desorbed in 10 mL 3% H2 O2 ; allowed to stand for 30 min and a 20 minute ultrasonic bath. The working range is 0.05 to 0.22 ppm (0.06 to 0.25 mg/m³) for a 120-L air sample. The measurement can also be done by inductively-coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (e.g., Method 7300). Note: This revises P&CAM 341.
