Method 5509

Benzidine and 3,3'-Dichlorobenzidine by HPLC-UV

This method is used for the determination of benzidine and 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine. The sample is collected on a glass filter, desorbed with 0.17% (v/v) triethylaminine in methanol, and then analyzed by HPLC and UV detection. The working range is 4 to 200 mg/m³ for a 50 L air sample. NOTE: This combines and replaces P&CAM 243 and P&CAM 246.
