This method is for the collection and analysis of pentamidine isethionate from workplace air. The sample is collected on a PVC filter. After collection the filter is eluted with 3mL of 50:50 ethanol:water containing 0.085% H3PO4 and 0.04% TMAC and analzyed by HPLC with UV detection.
The working range of the method is 0.5 to 30 ug/m3 for a 100L air sample.
