Method 2533

Tetraethyl lead (as Pb)

This method is used for the determination of tetraethyl lead as lead. The sample is collected on XAD-2 sorbent tubes, and desorbed in 1mL pentane. The sample is then analyzed by Gas Chromatography with a Photoionization detector. The working range is 0.017 tp 0.23 mg/m³ (as Pb) for a 120-L air sample. Note: This revises Method S383.
