Method 2532

Glutaraldehyde by HPLC-UV

This method is for the determination of glutaraldehyde. The sample is collected on silica gel coated with 2,4-DNPH HCl sorbent tubes, desorbed in acetonitrile and shaken for 2 hours, followed by HPLC-UV analysis. The working range is 0.01 to 0.3 ppm (0.04 to 1.2 mg/m³) for a 20 L air sample. NOTE: OSHA method 64 uses a glass fiber coated with 2,4-DNPH and phosphoric acid for collection, with HPLC analysis.
