Method 1618

Isopropyl Ether by GC/FID

This method is for the determination of isopropyl ether. The sample is collected on charcoal sorbent tubes, desorbed with carbon disulfide, and analyzed by GC/FID. The working range is 3 to 1170 ppm (16 to 4900 mg/m³) for a 3 L air sample. An appropriate capillary column may be used for better resolution and sensitivity. The sorbent's capacity for the analyte has not been determined under conditions of high relative humidity. Note: This is Method S368 in a revised format.
