Method PV2111

Ethanolamine

This method is for the collection and analysis of ethanolamine from workplace air.  The sample is collected on a XAD-2 tube coated with 10% 1-naphthylisothiocyanate (NITC) by weight.  After collection the sample is desorbed with dimethy1formamide and the amine derivative is analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) using ultraviolet detection at 254 or 280 nm.

NOTE: This is a partially validated method.
