This method is for the determination of various alcohols from workplace air. The sample is collection on a coconut shell charcoal tube, desorbed with 5% 2-propanol in carbon disulfide and analyzed by GC/FID (flame ionization detector). High humidity sources reduce the sampling capacity of the tube. Less volatile compounds may replace more volatile compounds on the charcoal. NOTE: This method updates Methods 1401 and 1402, NMAM, Foruth Edition, Issue 2. The estimated LOD for each analyte in this method is approximately 10 times lower than the older methods.
No Obligation Quotation for Analytical Services

* The analytes and detection limits listed for each method represent the typical detection limits and analytes reported for that particular method. Keep in mind that analyte lists may vary from laboratory to laboratory. Detection limits may also vary from lab to lab and are dependent upon the sample size, matrix, and any interferences that may be present in the sample.
