This method is for the determination of inorganic anions in reagent water, surface water, ground water, and finished dirnking water. Common anions listed as appropriate for the method are bromide, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, nitrite, ortho-phosphate-p, and sulfate. Inorganic disinfection by-products listed as appropriate for the method are bromate, bromide, chlorite, and chlorate.
A small volume of sample, 10 - 50 μL is analyzed by ion chromatography (IC) with a conductivity detector. The method is identifcal for both sets of anions and differs only by the amount of sample injected.
Ortho-phosphate degrades when held at room temperature for more than 16 hours. The method specifies that samples cannot be held at room temperature for more than 12 cumulative hour if analyzed for ortho-phosphate.
No Obligation Quotation for Analytical Services
If you would like us to provide a quote for laboratory analysis, just provide us with as much information as you can about your project (the more, the better) and we'll provide you a quote via email. As you are searching or browsing our Analytical Guide, you'll see the Request-A-Quote icon... just click on it to start the request process.

* The analytes and detection limits listed for each method represent the typical detection limits and analytes reported for that particular method. Keep in mind that analyte lists may vary from laboratory to laboratory. Detection limits may also vary from lab to lab and are dependent upon the sample size, matrix, and any interferences that may be present in the sample.
