This method describes the sample collection and analysis of crotonaldehyde. A sample is collected by drawing air through an open face air monitoring cassette containing two glass fiber filters, each of which is coated with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine and phosphoric acid. The sample is extracted with acetonitrile and analyzed by HPLC using a UV detector. Store samples at -20°C upon receipt at the laboratory. If such storage is not possible, samples must be analyzed within 9 days after collection. Keep the samples in the dark whenever possible as a precaution against photodecomposition.
No Obligation Quotation for Analytical Services

* The analytes and detection limits listed for each method represent the typical detection limits and analytes reported for that particular method. Keep in mind that analyte lists may vary from laboratory to laboratory. Detection limits may also vary from lab to lab and are dependent upon the sample size, matrix, and any interferences that may be present in the sample.
