This method is for the sample collection and analysis of acrolein and formaldehyde. The sample is collected on a 2-(hydroxymethyl)piperidine (2-HMP) coated XAD-2 tube. After collection the sample is desorbed with toluene and analyzed by gas chromatography using a nitrogen selective detector (GC/NPD).
