Method 16

2-Butanone (MEK) by GC/FID

This method is for the determination of 2-butanone (MEK). The sample is collected on silica gel sorbent tubes, desorbed with DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide), and analyzed by gas chromatography with a flame ionization detector. Samples are collected on 2 silica gel tubes in series. The second tube is used as a backup for the first tube.
