Method 5517

Polychorobenzene

This method is used for the determination of polychlorobenzene. The sample is collected on XAD-2 sorbent tubes, desorbed in hexane, and detected by GC with a 63Ni electron capture detector. The working range is 0.002 to greater than 30 mg/m³ for a 10L air sample. The linear range of the detector is limited, but samples are diluted prior to measurement. NOTE: This method revises P&CAM 343.
