Method 5020

Dibutyl Phthalate and Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate

This method is for the collection and analysis of dibutyl phthalate and bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate.  The sample is collected on a 0.8 micron cellulose ester membrane filter.  After collection, the filter is dissolved in 2mL of carbon disulfide and analyzed by GC/FID (flame ionization detector).

The working range of the method is 1 to 20 mg/m³ for a 50 L air sample.

NOTE: This method combines and replaces Methods S33 and S40.
