Method 5012

EPN by GC/FPD

This method is for the determination of EPN. The sample is collected on glass fiber filters, desorbed in 15 mL isooctane, followed by GC analysis with flame photometric detection. The working range is 0.05 to 1.5 mg/m³ EPN for 120-L air samples. Malathion and Parathion have also been determined by this procedure. Note: This method replaces Method S285.
