Method 2530

Diphenyl (Biphenyl) by GC/FID

This method is for the determination of diphenyl (biphenyl). The sample is collected on Tenax sorbent tubes, desorbed in carbon tetrachloride, and analyzed by GC/FID. The working range is 0.02 to 0.63 ppm (0.13 to 4 mg/m³) for a 30 L air sample. Measurement of concentrations down to 0.01mg/m³ may be possible if the desorption efficiency from the Tenax sorbent tube remains adequate. NOTE: This method revises Method S24.
