Method 2508

Isophorone by GC/FID

This method is used for the determination of isophorone. The sample is collected on charcoal sorbent tubes, desorbed in carbon disulfide, and analyzed by GC/FID. The working range for this method is 0.35 to 70 ppm (2 to 400 mg/m³) for a 12 L air sample. High humidity will greatly decrease the breakthrough volume. NOTE: This is Method S367 with a different column recommended for analysis.
