Method 1008

Ethylene Dibromide by GC/ECD

This method is for the analysis of ethylene dibromide by GC/ECD in ambient air. The working range is 0.0003 to 1ppm (0.002 - 8 mg/m³) for a 25 L air sample. The sample is collected on charcoal sorbent tubes and analyzed using GC/ECD after desorption in 99:1 benzene:methanol (v/v). Note: This method revises P&CAM 260. Method S104 (not revised) uses a less sensitive FID.
